RCI was incorporated in Malaysia in January 1973 as a private limited company under the name Rock
Chemical Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd.
In November 1989, the Company was converted into a public company and assumed its present name, RCI shares were listed and quoted on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (formerly known as Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange) in 1990.
Rock Chemical Industries (Malaysia) Berhad (“RCI”) was delisted from the Official List of Bursa Securities with effect from 29 June 2012 and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Mega First Corporation Berhad (MFCB).
Under the MFCB Resources Division, RCI is mainly engaged in mining activities such as quarrying, processing, manufacturing and distribution of limestone-based products. Apart from the limestone mining activities, RCI is also involved in the manufacturing of calcium silicate bricks, trading in building materials, investment holding and provision of management consultancy services.
As the leading lime manufacturer in Asia, RCI supply materials to reputable clienteles spread across the Asia Pacific Region. With RCI’s solid foundation in the business over 45 years, thanks to the dedication of our employees and support from our valuable partners, we have well positioned the company to achieve greater heights. RCI own and operates multiple limestone reserves, state-of-the- art lime kilns and has the largest Hydration capacity in Asia ensuring a sustainable supply.
Due to our strategic location in Malaysia, RCI has excellent connectivity to International Ports enabling us to distribute our lime throughout the Asia Pacific Region in a cost-effective manner. By road, rail or sea we safely delivery lime to our partners.
