At RCI, sustainability is central to how we operate. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Mega First Corporation Berhad (MFCB), our approach to sustainability is guided by the Group’s established frameworks and commitments to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. We align our practices with MFCB’s broader sustainability goals, ensuring that we contribute to the Group’s efforts in creating long-term value for stakeholders while minimizing environmental impact and promoting positive social change.

Sustainability Themes and Targets

Following the groups vision and mission, sustainability is at the core of how RCI operates, with a strong focus on three key pillars: Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG). We are committed to promoting environmental sustainability through responsible resource management, uplifting the livelihoods of our people, and fostering a business culture rooted in ethics and long- term value creation.

ESG Environment

RCI is actively advancing its environmental ESG efforts through initiatives such as consolidating greenhouse gas inventories across its operations, exploring alternative fuels for lime production, and improving resource efficiency to minimize carbon emissions and wastages. These efforts reflect our commitment to sustainable and responsible operations.

ESG Social

RCI’s social ESG efforts focus on supporting education, community development, and employee well-being. We’ve partnered with local organizations for youth engagement programs, contributed essential resources to local schools, and enhanced educational facilities. Additionally, we promote workplace well-being through social events. Future plans include continued funding for local schools, emphasizing sports and cultural excellence.

ESG Governance

RCI’s governance efforts are focused on fostering a strong organizational culture, promoting employee engagement, and ensuring effective communication across the company. Toolbox sessions were used to elevate awareness of safety, sustainability, and company policies. Employee engagement initiatives, including recreational activities and team-building programs, strengthen camaraderie and morale. Our employee retention rate remains high, reflecting our commitment to creating a positive work environment.

At RCI, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity through the implementation of our Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS), certified under ISO 37001:2016. Our initiatives include comprehensive engagement with business associates, dedicated compliance oversight, and regular awareness programs to promote a culture of ethics and transparency. Whistleblowing Policy

Employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders can confidentially report suspected misconduct or unethical behavior, and the policy guarantees whistleblowers full protection from retaliation and strict confidentiality of their identities.
